RE-COLLAGE (2023)

Product Development Surpport Project / Korea Craft and Design Foundation

Projecting a narrative and understangding of complex structures in contemporary Korean culture through layers of time, the artist portrays today’s Korean culture with a Korean sensibility. Recycling newspapers by reprinting and using them as collage materials, the artist employs resin layering, translucency, and casting techniques to highlight material properties, product appeal, and design simplicity. The artist intentionally seeks non-functional objects over practicality, intends to create three-dimensional sculptures through various media to record emotions and changes in situations.
